I agree with Neil and Cortlandt, you need the 'capture phase' as an escape hatch. This should not be hard to do since LzSprite mediates all movieclips in the SWF runtime. Is there anything else you are omitting from the w3c model? Or would we be standards compliant if we implemented your proposal?
