Hi Jesse,

I recently heard from Hinkmond Wong, the Orbit project lead at Sun, that there is now a Sun-hosted project page available on java.net. The URL is:

  https://orbit.dev.java.net/

The demo, technical info, and source files are going through due diligence review at Sun and should be posted as open source in the next few weeks.

If you register on java.net and sign up to watch the Orbit project, you'll be notified when the project page changes. This is a good way to track the progress with this very new project. You can also sign up as a participant! (I have.)

The Orbit runtime is under development, but a public demo hasn't been posted yet.

Are there any updates on the Orbit J2ME runtime?

The information that I've been able to find is pretty sparse, but it did mention some sort of demo might be availible by years end. Is this still
the case? And if not are their any guesses as to when a demo of Orbit
will be availible? (or maybe I'm really dense and it already is, please
point me in the correct direction if that's the case).

Thank you.

Jesse
