For swf9,I had no way to generate real flash multiframe
swf resources, which some of the buttons use, so we're currently simulating
them in the swf9 kernel by swapping in single frame swfs from a list.
So the performance of switching to single frame .pngs would probably be no
different.
I don't know about swf8 performance though.
