There were 2 interesting announcements: 1) Availibility of the Google NativeCode SDK http://code.google.com/events/io/sessions/NativeClientUsingNativeCode.html
Native Client is an open-source technology for running x86 native code in web applications, with the goal of maintaining the browser neutrality, OS portability, and safety that people expect from web apps.
2) Google joins the Adobe OpenScreensProject http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/10/teaming-up-with-adobe-and-open-screen.html
At Google, we've been working closely with the folks at Adobe for years. Some of our most exciting projects such as YouTube, Android, Google Site Search, Google Chrome and evenGoogle web search require close integration with Adobe's technologies. Our engineering teams regularly exchange ideas, tips and bugs as we build upon each others' efforts.
2) definitely is good news for OL and a future SWF10 runtime, I'm not sure how 1) would be interesting right now, unless we manage to convert the LFC/JS2 into native code.
