This exposes a local shared object - it doesn't give true access to the
file system.
This is functionality we should consider opening up in the LPS.

AMASS works by running an additional, invisible Flash applet in the
page, so if that's not okay with you, nevermind. It's also somewhat
young code and I have not, in fact, tested it myself.
