I've been playing around with Laszlo Mail and I really like the way the
Settings dialog appears. When you click settings, the screen darkens and
the dialog drops down. When you close the dialog the dialog 'rolls up'
and the screen lightens. I want to do something similar in my application
but I'm not entirely sure how to get that effect. I know I can create a
view which covers most of my application and by hiding/showing and
changing the opacity I can get the darkening effect, but I've been unable
to do the drop down dialog effect. I've play around with animating a
model dialog but the dialog always pops up with a border and title. I
thought by animating the height I could get the dialog to appear and
disappear. Anyway are there any examples out there which might
demonstrate how to do the drop down dialog effect?
