From what I understand the reason for dropping kranking is that the
newer versions have increased performance to the point where it
does not
merit this tool. For the record I disagree and I feel like I just got
kicked in the stomach as a loyal Laszlo Developer.
Kranking also prevented us from having fully dynamic apps so we
decided on dropping it. Maybe there was something we were missing but
we often needed to set variables and other things (like Date() obj)
dynamically and as far as we know this is not possible with kranked
apps.

I'm not sure what the status of krank in Open Laszlo 3.1.1 is, but I
know it's not part of 3.2cr1 anymore.
Get 3.2cr1 from http://www.openlaszlo.org/download/ then do solo
deployment using the solo deploy button in the development console.
