Sorry, I'm not that familiar with the grid component (Although that behavior sounds pretty strange)

It's not that multiline isn't working, it's working great, Withing a grid, when multiline is true, you have one row, not for example, 100 rows of data displayed. The 100 rows are placed within that one text tag.
