onData event is usually fired by the datapath if you changed your data
combo to :
<datacombobox datapath="avatar_prof:/" itemdatapath="avatar_prof/avatar"
textdatapath="@name"
valuedatapath="@value"
selectfirst="true"
showitems="10"
<handler name="ondata">
Debug.write("ondata")
</handler>

The combobox gets populated but no ondata event.
Selectfirst is broken.
Looks like i'm going to have to externally manage the data and push it
into the combobox but that shouldn't be necessary.
