Hi there,
if one uses
\printindex
in a document with documentclass=report, and
$TOC_DEPTH = 1;
$MAX_SPLIT_DEPTH = 5;
$MAX_LINK_DEPTH = 1;
the printindex command results in an empty page. Apparently because
it classifies as \section instead of \chapter.
Adding a specific \chapter command, makes the index reappear, but at
the price of having an empty page named after the chapter.

I'm in a hurry, and may have overlooked the obvious....
