You can see the outcome in the latest screenshot(s), as most of you have. I'd just like to summarize here: - The page layout follows Martin's design. No further input from him, he's on vacation. - Both Karl and Matt commented that some of the various parts of the page could be made more prominent, like What's Launchpad and featured projects. I was able to do a little bit about it by increasing the font size on What's Launchpad. - Matt said that the he liked Martin's mockup of the page but now that it's on screen, it misses the punch we need for the Launchpad Homepage. It could use more graphical enhancements. Also, blog post should be a live feed. - Michael and Francis liked the page and had no complaints UI-wise. I go along with Matt but there is just no time to do any more about it. We could just keep the current page but that would look incomplete with the new page templates. I feel it would be worse launching a major new revision with an unchanged home page. That would really be confusing ... So in essence, I'd just like to land this sucker so people see that Launchpad is new. There are lot of great changes UI-wise on the rest of the pages that the home page cannot dilute. If none of you opposes, I'll go ahead with it. It definitely needs to be touched again next cycle.
