In particular I was thinking bug link titles. The actual bug could be looked up and the title and href changed. Private bugs could be greyed out in a similar way to the branch.
Ian has written the code in a way that it is pretty simple to get this working, but it was out of scope for what we were doing. This should also be used for looking up FAQs and any other links that are automagically linked through our string formatters.
