Thanks for everyone's feedback in this thread. I think we're in agreement that consistency is key here (to put it in simplest terms). I'll plan to make some updates to the JS style guide and ping back the list when I do for agreement about the changes or pushback. :)
I'll be a couple weeks before I do this, since I'm heads down on our new feature. But you'll hear from me again when I get around to that. Thanks again for the feedback everyone!
