On the "Projects in Launchpad" page, located at https://launchpad.net/projects, there is a "Latest projects registered" section. I think this section should be supplemented with a "Highly active projects" section.
The reason for this, is because projects listed as new are only a few hours old, and therefore have no content. People coming to this page will look at those projects and see next to nothing. It would be great if they could see projects that have had a lot of activity within the last few days. Also, in order to stop the currently featured projects from hoarding the spotlight, you could pick a few randomly from a large list each day. I also think this would spurt growth of cool projects, that get passed up in the sea of test projects like "deleteme", "test", and "asdf".
