was busy trying to send a bug report through when it went pear-shaped and gave me the option to send an e-mail quoting above.. have had the option (feisty-fawn 7.04) to upgrade three packages since saturday 19/5/07 hydrogen liferea liferae-mozilla (ltsp-server has been on a while as well, but at this point I am not up to that) any attempt to automatically update these packages has been met by E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg -- configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _ cache - > open () failed, please report. any attempts to run dpkg through the terminal have come up with command not found. any attempt to look through the repositories I thought I had has also failed. am still new to computers, so maybe i'm doing something wrong. did have a period end of last week when computer wouldn't let me do anything constructive though. okay, bug reported-ish mon capitain. yours kandr KeEpUpDaFuN -- bye
