Unfortunately, Launchpad is not able to handle template files that don't use English as the language for its translations. In fact, why aren't you using English in the catalog?. Nowadays all applications use English for it because is more easy that any language translator knows English instead of Spanish. Said that, technically, we could add a way to support such option, but this is the first time we get this kind of request since we started the project more than two years ago, and thus, before we agree on implementing such support, we would need a good rationale to justify it.
