Hello Launchpad users,

I've got a suggestion and would like to hear your opinion about this
and let the LP devs know about it. ;) So here it comes:

Often you'll find yourself in a situation that you need to go away for
a weekend, or maybe even longer. But if you'd disappear without saying
anything people wouldn't understand it when you wouldn't reply when
they ask you something via the mail or at LP. This could be solved by
placing a notice at your blog and mail everyone in the mailinglists of
the teams you're active in, but that would give a lot of off-topic
mailinglist noise and not everyone would be warned. If an option to
Launchpad would be added to tell the system you're away and for how
long people would understand if you didn't reply. But in order to
prevent people from having to look in your profile everytime if you're
away, your name should also be marked while you're away. The date of
return can just be showed at your profile.

Any thoughts?

PS: I didn't sign this email because I'm at my dad's. My GPG keys are
at my mother's.
