Can you also join the team as if you weren't also the owner? It sounds

I also have the same problem as mbt. When I tried, I couldn't add a
branch owned by a team I'm a member of. Using the 'search for branches'
button, it only showed me branches under my own ID's namespace.
It looks like I was mistaken about what IBranchCollection.ownedBy would
do. I've filed this as bug 407260.
