I am preparing a Launchpad Enhancement Proposal about awarding karma for activities in the Launchpad registry application.

I am seeking the opinion of users who's launchpad activities cross
project boundaries. I am looking for stakeholders who are not launchpad
developers and are not core Ubuntu contributors.
Launchpad's bugs and questions imply karma is an important motivator for
some users and can help create communities of contributors who
specialise in providing information (answers, bug triage, etc...)
My fundamental question is: Will awarding karma for actions that help
communities encourage users to provide the missing information?
