Rick I don't know if it's still the case, but in some instances in the past, you could quit LabVIEW and the AO would continue to generate. VERY disconcerting for users; however, there is little you can do about it other than designing in timeouts, watchdogs, etc. in hardware. Just be aware that it can happen, and consider the results. In most test applications, no big deal, but if you're driving an actuator, power supply, or other real-world device, it pays to think about it.
