Thanks for the answer and of course it is not the one I like. I guess I should have known but up until now it just never occurred that I wanted the old NI-DAQ in the ClassicMacOS along with OS-X. I will solve my problem by using a second Ti-Book to do the demos then.
A base of DAQmx however seems to be in the pipe for the non-windows platforms and this gives us hope for the future. So let's stay tuned by holding up the flag high.
Regards across our tiny nation. Hey, the weather is so nice we should not stare at computer screens now.

Urs,
There is no way for classic applications to access hardware directly, therefore the NI-DAQ cannot access your DAQCard. The only alternative is to use the NI HDDK, but so far I haven't seen support for the DAQCard.
I guess this is not the answer you wanted to hear...

Dear list members still drawn to LabVIEW's original platform,
For mobile demonstrations I often use a PCMCIA DAQCard-AI-16E-4 with my G4 Ti-Book and it works well when I fully boot into the Classic MacOS. As my demos are now mostly made in LV7 on MacOS-X I would like to branch into the same LabVIEW7 version running in the Classic shell to just demo simple DAQ with the DAQcard. However, the NI-DAQ Configuration Utility there does not seem to pick up the DAQCard. Has someone succeeded to use a DAQcard from within the Classic Shell under OS-X or is this not possible at all?
Any pointers are welcome of course.
Wireworking yours
