Hello, Thank you for contacting National Instruments.
Your feeling is exactly correct. By default, the LabVIEW 5.1 installer will install an older version of the NI-DAQ driver software. More than likely, the older driver has been installed over the new driver and has corrupted it. Here are steps you can follow to correct this problem: 1. Try reinstalling the newer driver. 2. If you cannot successfully reinstall the newer driver, uninstall the older driver, and then try to install the newer driver. 3. If you are unsuccessful with these methods, try to uninstall NI-MAX. This will unistall all hardware drivers on the machine. Then try to reinstall. If you are still unable to get the new driver installed. Just reply to this post and I will recommend some more advanced procedures for solving this problem. Regards, Bill B Applications Engineer National Instruments
