Hi Ann A few things to check:
Have you installed the NI-488 drivers that came with the device? Are you testing the USB-GPIB device with the standard GPIB card installed? If so are you aware that the addressing of the devices connected to the USB-GPIB card will then be different to indicate which card you refered to. Ie PCI-GPIB Address = GPIB::12::INSTR = GPIB0::12::INSTR could be GPIB1::12::INSTR. I tested the driver and it works fine, it can read and write command just fine also. But when I tried to control my instruments, I get error similar to this one: "hp34401a Initialize.vi<ERR>Driver Status: (Hex 0xBFFF00A5) The interface type is valid but the specified interface number is not configured." The instruments work fine when I just use regular GPIB cable, and I have checked the GPIB address and they are correct also. Help, please! Thanks, Ann
