Perhaps you can forward your finding to NI support (or
feature request) so they can change the animated GIF display
algorithm used. It would be nice if NI's interpretation was
not so sensitive. The less playing around we have to do with
images, the better.

Restoring all frames to background and adding a dummy frame at the end
makes all the animations work in LV 6.1 through 7.1 on my system. You
seem to have solved the problem but, if you'd like a copy of my files,
