Yes, it is. But I guess, this will will make bug reports confusing and
will break compatibility with other packages. So, I suggest to hide the
items and add some new.

I don't understand what you mean with 'based on project.pp'.
Will you create the laz4edu (or edulaz or lazedu or whatever) package?
