Apparently that is only available to the lucky few that use the GTK2 widgetset. As far as I know, that open is not available in any other widgetset.
As for why I don't like the popup menu. I like to see things instantly and just straight to it. The popup is extra mouse clicks. ;-)
Either way, I solved the problem for myself. If anybody is interested in my hack, I can supply a patch. My hack will definitely not go into Lazarus repository, because I use the Tag property as a work-around so only the editor notebook is affected. :-)
