I had the same question some time ago, and was told that the FPC parser
is not suited for anything but compilation purposes. And to be honest, I
couldn't even locate that parser code in the FPC sources :-(
I'd also like to hear opinions whether I should spend time on this, or
even whether it is a good idea to use FPC's parser/tokenizer engine for
code formatter.
I'm interested in essentially the same subject, since I tackled with
PasDoc and its limited built-in parser. Another goal were a
Modula/Oberon frontend for FPC, with improved syntax. Drop me a line if
you think that we can cooperate on this subject.
