Concurrency in SQLite is pretty simple. Only a process can write simultaneously, and it locks the whole file and has problems with threads: Check http://www.sqlite.org/faq.html (5) (6).
Checked that already at the time and took care of the problems in my application, that has been working fine, 24/7, for the last 2 years.
Again, in *my* use-case that was a determining feature.
