I have just installed Ubuntu 10.04.1 desktop in a VMWare virtual machine. I also did a full update of everything after the install.
Now for Lazarus.... In the Synaptic Package Manager I see versions: Lazarus: 0.9.28.2-8ubuntu1 FPC: 2.4.0-2 I don't know if these are current or if there is another way to get the right versions.
