Because his sample screenshot enables the TAB key to do block
indentation. If you what TAB characters inserted in your source code
(like I prefer), then the "Block indent (tabs)" must have a value, and
the "Block indent (spaces)" must have 0. If you prefer SPACE
characters to be inserted for indentation, then the values must be
other way round.
