It's a good idea!

IMO: it doesn't belong into LCL. There are packages that don't depend on the LCL and should take use of it. Also, what about console applications?

1.) It belongs into FPC sources.
2.) It should be a generic list of acknowledgments (licenses). No GUI whatsoever.

Another thing is if package maintainers (e.g. CCR) will take this extra work and really implement it.

Anyway, the goal is to have and keep LCL acknowledgment-free.
