Lars,

You are right. Somehow a bug made its way to 1.10, I've it fixed on 1.11
But I'm having problems with autoconf & cygwin, and this is delaying the
release of ver 1.11

So, if you want to just use tifficc, there is a precompiled binary for windows
here: http://www.littlecms.com/tifficc.exe or, if you need linux, there is a
snapshot of 1.11 *without autoconf* here: http://www.littlecms.com/lcms-1.11.tar.gz

If anyone else want to give a try to new version, that's ok. It works fine on
(right now) all platforms I've been able to check, and have some new features
like CIECAM02, black point compensation, much better softproofing and a
lot of v4 support. The windows package will follow in a short.

Subject: [Lcms-user] Bug in LCMS 1.10?

Hi,

I was testing out some conversions with LCMS and think I found a bug or something.
It's giving me some strange results, anyways.

I used tifficc to convert a TIFF image with an embedded "Euroscale Coated v2" profile
to "US Web Coated SWOP" profile colors. I used
the following command line:

tifficc -o USWebCoatedSWOP.icc "Adobe Euroscale CMYK.tif" out.tif

This works correctly with LCMS 1.08d, but v1.10b gives me an image in which all the
reddish colors are wrong. Converting between RGB
color profiles works great, and converting both ways between RGB and CMYK colors also
works ok. It's only conversion between CMYK
profiles that's problematic.

Anyone who can confirm this problem?

- tifficc gives me:

little cms ICC profile applier for TIFF - v2.33

- "lcms.h" used to build tifficc says

// Version 1.10b

If this problem has been addressed before, I applogize. I'm not a regular subscriber
of this list (until now).

/Lars
