I have come across the following in various places: The luminance of DMin and DMax on an IT8 target will cause any whiter white and blacker black to be clipped. In other words: if using a profiled scanner, the dynamic range will be limited to that of the IT8 target. Is this correct? If so, does this apply to all profile types?
