Thanks for the response. I gathered that the file format was a
bit different, but from the googling around (and the "user-supplied
measurement sheet in lprof"), it appeared that this sort of stuff was done
before. I thought maybe it was a spec2cie kinda function.
I did grab the CVS for lprof awhile back (and just now see a
'spec2cielprof' function in it?). It does see my instrument and appears
to work. I found the initial adjustments (black level, white level, etc)
for the seemed out of whack (contrast had to be brought way down, etc). I
guess in retrospect, much of this was my own ignorance at the time...
setting the maximum brightness down from 80 cd/m^2, turning off the
ambient lights in the room, etc. Since I first played with that and
temporarily gave up, I figured out how to do it from argyll. I was just
thinking that using a set of measurements from argyll with the nice gui
(and ability to store the raw data in the generated profile for viewing
the sampled gamut with iccexamin) might be convenient.
I guess one should probably stick with one or the other at this
point. I'm glad to see that lprof hasn't died... just gone into
publicly-apparent slumber in the CVS.
Cheers,
-Cory
