Hi,

Definitely looks like an interesting tool. Have you made any progress with
turning this into a project? I believe the process for getting a project
started is outlined here:

http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/ogb/policies/project-instantiation.txt

I believe the LDom community would be willing to sponsor the project. Let me
know if you need any help.

Subject: [osol-discuss] Request place project virt-manager to OpenSolaris

Hi there,

Now we, Solaris JDS team, is working on making virt-manager work at
Solaris, and would like to place it to OpenSolaris, so that users can
download and play with it. Please approve this application.

Below is the project introduction:
The "Virtual Machine Manager" application (virt-manager for short
package name) is a desktop user interface for managing virtual
 machines.
It presents a summary view of running domains and their live
 performance
& resource utilization statistics. A detailed view presents graphs
showing performance & utilization over time. Ultimately it will allow
creation of new domains, and configuration & adjustment of a domain's
resource allocation & virtual hardware.
Currently virt-manager is using to manage xVM at SNV, which is already
delivered into SNV . And we are planning to make it work with LDOM at
 S10.

For more information please see:
http://jdswiki.ireland.sun.com/twiki/bin/view/Vermillion/Virt-manager
http://virt-manager.et.redhat.com/index.html

And it's the first time for me to place a project into OpenSolaris,
could anyone clarify me the total process on how to apply a project for
OpenSolaris? I would like to figure it out, so that later everyone can
follow this standard process.

Should I provide anything please let me know...

Thanks,
Henry
