Well I'm not too surprised at Oracle's decision on VirtualIron. It's just 
another Xen branch with some interesting features and limitations. The real 
differentiator for it is the management piece. It's more likely that we'll see 
Oracle shift their Xen implementation to running on OpenSolaris. As for the 
management piece, who knows.. they have the Oracle, VirtualIron, and Sun xVM 
OpsCenter options on the table.

I wouldn't completely agree with the title Oracle has killed VirtualIron.  I 
think it would be better stated that Oracle breathed new life in VirtualIron by 
taking it in a new direction.

Sun cannot comment on topics related to the Oracle acquisition.  But I would 
encourage anyone interested in the topic of Ops Center to attend a web demo or 
contact their local Sun sale rep for a presentation.
