With LDoms, there are many storage options. But if I had to make some recommendations, it would be:
1. Use FC or iSCSI LUNs 2. Create a ZFS pool per guest domain with the FC or iSCSI LUNs. 3. Leverage ZFS volumes That will give you the ability to do snapshots and clones per guest domain and maintain the ability to migrate your guests between physical hosts without binding things up by having multiple guests on the same ZFS pool. For the best performance obviously, you could just assign the LUNs directly to the guest domains and have them do the ZFS within. That would remove a lot of the extra I/O layers and keep things simple. Only downside to this is that to thin provision, you would have to actually replicate the guest through something like ZFS send/recieve to a new set of LUNs.
