You might also consider using something in relation to Flash Archives for the 
LDOM itself.  As Octave just suggested, backing up the control domain 
configuration is important as is the LDOM blob itself.  I was just playing with 
restoring LDOMs using Flash Archive via Jumpstart and it works great.  
(Actually more specifically making a flash archive of an LDOM with detached 
zones in it and using the resultant archive for DR purposes to get LDOM 
restores and zone "reattached").
