Hi, I use JET for doing jumpstarts, it really makes things easier. It might be worth looking at the perms used on your NFS share and restarting bootp. Make sure your NFS share options are "anon=0,ro".

Yes, I did get it working ... then I hit another snag. I would check your tftp directory and make sure the permissions are correct and that the tftp domain is setup to run correctly on your install server. Mine is set to: drwxr-xr-x 2 nobody nobody 512 May 1 13:00 tftpboot I would do a little snooping on your install server to see what traffic its seeing. snoop -d **whatever** host **IP of LDOM being jumpstarted** I finally moved my Jumpstart/Install Server elements over to a Sun Blade 100 I have and deactivated rarp and bootparam on my T2000 in the Control Domain. Jumpstart kicked up after this but I hit another snag which I haven't gotten an answer back on yet. Using the Sol10u5 FCS image I can't get through some portion of the Jumpstart Boot process. The LDOM gets stuck in a NFSv3 Get Attr loop. I saw 5 files in the Jumpstart boot get hammered with NFSv3 Get Attr requests and replies constantly but with no other traffic from the LDOM. LDOM just sits there until I stop it or send it a telnet break. When I changed my bootparams file to point to my Sol10u4 install area it works just fine - No NFS issues at all. The unplumbing of e1000g0 and setup of vsw0 is still a requirement in 1.0.2 as I see it as that's the only way my LDOM would jumpstart off my Sun Blade 100 server. I just saw the reference to Octave reply to my original request just via a new thread. I'll try out his suggestion. -- This message was posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ ldoms-discuss mailing list ldoms-discuss at opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ldoms-discuss ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
