Hi, Thank you for the info. So basically, libvirt act as a generic API for virtualization mgmt products to manage both LDoms and xVM Server (Xen)? Is the JDS desktop community responsible for the virt-manager? I would think it would make more sense for the LDoms module for libvirt to be under the LDoms community. But I'm not sure where libvirt will fit in sense it's for both LDoms and xVM(Xen).
As for the BUI, development on that has stopped? Thanks for the info! *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* Octave J. With the release of Libvirt for LDoms, it enables the possibility of interoperability with a variety of virtuaization management solutions include Sun xVM. It sounds logical that virt-manager in OpenSolaris will have SPARC support for LDoms. Obviously it depends on the work by the JDS desktop community. There's no further development for the BUI released in LDoms 1.0.1. Thank you. Honglin Octave Orgeron wrote: > Hi Liam, > > I looked over the documentation. So this will provide a shell and script for configuring and installing guest domains. I noticed that there is a piece called the virt-manager that's not included. Will that be included later on? Also, how does this fit in with the BUI and future xVM stuff? > > -Octave > -- > This message was posted from opensolaris.org > _______________________________________________ > ldoms-discuss mailing list > ldoms-discuss at opensolaris.org > http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ldoms-discuss _______________________________________________ ldoms-discuss mailing list ldoms-discuss at opensolaris.org http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ldoms-discuss ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing.
