Hi,

Make sure that your vsw* MAC addresses match the underline e1000g* MAC address.
Also, even if you don't plumb the e1000g* interfaces, you must set your
speed/duplex on those devices and not the vsw*'s. The vsw's inherit the
speed/duplex of the parent device. I have seen issues with UDP traffic, but not
TCP. What kind of connections or services are you working with?

Subject: [ldoms-discuss] LDOM Networking issues

I
am
having
problems
with
the
network
dropping
connections
with
the
LDOM's
as
well
as
the
LDOM's
not
responding
to
network
queries.
I
am
using
e1000g1
for
the
main
LDOM
connection
and
it
is
mapped
to
vsw0.
I
am
using
e1000g2
for
the
BUR
connections
and
it
is
mapped
to
vsw1.
Has
anyone
seen
this
issue
and
if
so
what
is
the
fix.
Also
I
have
noticed
that
when
I
run
a
dladm
show-link
the
duplex
for
the
vsw's
are
unknown.
Is
there
a
way
to
correct
this
as
I
feel
that
may
be
the
problem.
I
am
running
LDOM-1.0.1.
Thanks
