Steffen, when you asked I hadn't actually ran a dhcp server on an LDom. We now have and all seems to be fine (it's a combined DNS/DHCP/NTP server).
Solaris 10u4 + recent patches, LDom 1.0.1 software. -Steve Goldthorpe ----- Original Message ---- From: Steffen Weiberle <[email protected]> To: ldoms-discuss at opensolaris.org Sent: Monday, 7 April, 2008 1:17:31 PM Subject: [ldoms-discuss] update: ?: Guest LDom as DHCP server I never received any replies, and I got access to a T5120 and installed Solaris 10 update 5 build 10 in both the service and guest domains, and was able to run ISC DHCP server 4.1.0a1 in both IPv4 mode and in IPv6 mode. I did not due rigorous testing, but clients received IPv4 or IPv6 address. This was with LDom 1.0.2 *without* the requisite patch, but was patched with 127580-05. I did not attach the service domain to the NIC that the vsw was connected to. I only had one vsw, and one vnet in the guest LDom.
