If you read the admin guide, I think it will tell you that you normally can't, by default, communicate between the primary and guest domains...
It also shows you have to make this work, its a simple change, you just have to plumb tghe vsw device associated with the vswitch that the guest is connected to in place of the e1000g device you are currently using... effectively you are connecting the primary domain to the vswitch and allowing the primary to talk to guests attached to the vswitch.
