Generally, I've seen very positive feedback on the ldmp2v tool, with
most customers indicating it just works. One big banking customer is
using it to migrate over 1000 instances. Menno has added a number of
enhancements recently, and I would say the only caveat is look at the
documented product restrictions or known RFE's and steer clear of those
and you'll be good to go.

Hi Martin
I had done some work with a UK customer who migrated a lot of old
sun4u systems to ldoms, he was having some problems in some of the
migrations, which is why I was called in.
Some of the migrations failed due to a situation where on S10U6 or
later the new boot archive is too big. This is not an ldmp2v problem
per se but it does mean that the migration fails. There is a
workaround which I can send you if required.
Otherwise the migrations went well.
