Hi Smith,
If control domain OS got corrupted or virtual network switch
getting down then how it will be restored .

Again it depends on the nature of the corruption. A reboot may recover the situation in the case of the OS corruption.

A virtual switch may easily be recreated as well, however I have never seen a case where the virtual switch is not working.

You can also recreate entire guest domains from saved XML configuration files. This can also be done for the control domain, however currently there are some things that are not saved, so some manual recreation is required.

How can I Upgrade the ldom version? Can U please refer any solution.

Details on how to upgrade ldom version ( it may also require a new firmware version for the SP and a later update of Solaris 10 to use all of the features) are at

        Hi,
I use ldom version in T5220 sparc version. I have a query like
        if the
base ldom corrupted than it will affect my guest ldom or not.
In that case what type of precaution will be required for that.

    Hi Arup

The first recommendation I would make is to move to a newer version
of LDoms. Version 1.0.3 is no longer supported and I would suggest
you move to version 1.3. Version 1.3 has a lot of significant
advantages over 1.0.3 not least in the ability to reboot the control
domain without bringing down the guests.

As to your query about control domain corruption, what particularly
    are you thinking about?
