> Correct. It is the only one of the T3 based servers to have this feature. OK, it is clear from the Oracle's SPARC T3-4 server motherboard design found on page 28 of the "Oracle's SPARC T3-1, SPARC T3-2, SPARC T3-4 and SPARC T3-1B Server Architecture" white paper that 4 SAS HDD are addressed by the PCIe Switch 0, and the other 4 SAS HDD are addressed by the PCIe Switch 3. But on the same white paper, the Oracle's SPARC T3-1 server motherboard design found on page 22 suggests that up to 16 SAS HDD are addressed by the PCIe Switch 0, and by the PCIe Switch 1 through 2 SAS Controllers, but interconnected to a single SAS/SATA Expander. I am not sure about the interpretation of the 8 other SAS HDD on the bottom left. Do you think that the T3-1 permit us to have 2 I/O domains with only internal storage as for the T3-4 ? -- julien. http://blog.thilelli.net/ _______________________________________________ ldoms-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/ldoms-discuss
