The compromise is to use a separate storage device/partition for log
files when needed.
I think end user need to make a choice between different
solutions for logging. There are situation where logging not needed at
all.

Another solution (very secure) is to log over serial port directly to
printer. But we will need a big steel door to secure the printer ;)
It is a joke but partialy. Maybe someone will find this solution
acceptable.
