As far as I know you are correct, but I don't think this is a problem. We 
have 36 developers that want to help. I belive with good communication we 
can prevent any potential problems.

I think the benevolent dictator approach is best. Everyone can contribute 
(if able), and the release lead makes final decisions. If someone doesn't 
like the decision, they always have the option to make another release.

I believe they can if we communicate and cooperate with each other. :)

In case of emergency, Eric and I already worked out a way to backup 
individual CVS trees.
