I'm attempting to set up a development environment using a Red Hat 6.2 compile system with a full Linux Mandrake 5.3 mounted via NFS. However, Mandrake's NFS server is refusing to mount / even though the exports file allows it. I suspect compile-time modification of the mountd daemon to refuse to do this, but I can't verify that. I seem to remember talk in years past that Mandrake's NFS server was a poor substitute; anyone know anything about this?
