At least winimage compressed images appear to be gzip compressed 
diskimages. Just imagine how easy it could be for windows users to 
re-create their own booststrapping package.

For a very minimalist bootstrap package that won't really matter I think.

If I have some time this weekend, I will see if I can put together a 
small-as-possible initrd for bootstrapping the regular dachstein.
